Roger & Stephanie Sinclair
Roger is a retired Army veteran. He currently works as the assistant manager in Hillsboro at United Supplies. Stephanie is in her 28th year of teaching middle school math and physical education, and is head softball coach for Hillsboro High School. The Sinclairs have two children, Lucas, who is a junior business major at Wichita State University while also serving in the Kansas Army National Guard; Juliana is a freshman at Oklahoma Baptist University. Julie enjoys being the manager for the OBU softball team. She is majoring in applied allied health (pre-med) with interests in missions and traveling.
Roger also has four older children, Cara, Kyle, Jamie and Jordan, and three grandchildren. Roger and Stephanie began attending HMBC after Lucas and Julie were welcomed into Sara Jo’s classes, Bible studies and MBY. Becoming members was not a hard decision. They have felt challenged by Brian’s messages and have enjoyed worshipping at HMBC. They are serving by being greeters, participating in a small group and being on another committee.
Gary & Connie Beavers
We moved from Herington to Hillsboro. I am originally from Arkansas, Connie from Mississippi. We moved to Hillsboro to be closer to our grandchildren here in town and our grandchildren in Hutchinson.
Our son, Matthew, and his wife, Erin, attend church at HMBC and invited us to attend. We have since joined the church. I am retired from the Union Pacific Railroad after 401⁄2 years. Connie retired from being a teacher and counselor at Herington for 23 years. Connie is an avid reader, loves flowers, some traveling and I like being outdoors when the weather permits, some primitive woodworking, traveling and love studying history. We love being with our grandchildren.
We feel very welcomed at HMBC, feel the presence of God working in our lives. The sermons with have heard at HMBC have been very meaningful.
We are involved as greeters and Wednesday night meals. Connie has helped at Bible school and the nursery.
I am from Choctaw, Okla., and now attend Tabor College. I am an elementary education major and I love it. I am engaged to Devin Dick and we are getting married here at the church in July.
I started attending HMBC because I was looking for a home church and Devin suggested I start attending here with him. I really loved the church and after about a year and a half I felt God calling me to join and serve here. I am excited to get connected with this church even more.
I love working with kids, so I hope to soon get involved in with some children’s ministry within the church. I am looking forward to everything God has planned in the years to come.
