Community Resources

Hillsboro and the surrounding area has a number of organizations that can ease financial burdens or meet needs that you have.

Et Cetera Shop: Local shopping in downtown Hillsboro for used items and clothing. Your donations help recycle what you don’t need and can be used by others. Located at 109 N. Main.

Main Street Ministries: Their mission is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by providing physical and spiritual resources in a supportive environment. Located at 415 S. Main, they also offer the Lord’s Storehouse (Food Bank), and accept donations daily. The food bank is open for disbursement from 9 am–noon on Saturdays.

Hillsboro MB Kids Connection Daycare and Preschool: Located at the Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church, 300 Prairie Pointe.

Local Support Groups

Grief Support & Encouragement Group: An opportunity to share the journey of grief and transition in a welcoming and confidential setting. Anyone who has experienced a loss through death is welcome to attend.

Meeting time: Third Monday of every month, 6:30 – 7:30 pm

Alzheimer’s Support Group: Caring for someone who has Alzheimer can be a difficult job. Come for support and ideas of caring for your loved one.

Meeting time: Second Thursday of the month, 6:30 – 7:30 pm
