Jeremy Matlock

With my wife Krista and three young children I moved here at the end of December 2014 from Southern California. This is our first experience living in a rural community, and we are enjoying the change. I’m also enjoying the opportunity to get to serve God and his people full time in the local church. I earned my BA in Intercultural Studies with a minor in Bible from Biola University in 1996 and then an MA in New Testament Studies from Talbot in 2007. My ministry experience before coming to Hillsboro includes serving as a missionary in Russia (5 years), directing short-term missions (3 years), teaching at a Christian high school (8 years), and pastoring (1 year).

I am excited to serve at Hillsboro MB in the area of adult discipleship and assimilation. I have a passion for helping people mature in their faith and become change agents in this world for Christ. I would love to meet you and get to know you. Drop by sometime!
