HMBC Sunday Morning Announcement Highlights

December Mission Moment

Continue to pray for the missionaries supported by HMBC as many of them are separated from family during this season.  Pray they will have community to fellowship and celebrate with.  Pray that they will have many opportunities to share the Good News of the Gospel during their Christmas celebrations.

G5 Kids' Parent Information Meeting

G5 Parents please plan to attend:  Wednesday, January 14, 6:45-7:45 sharp in the HMBC Hearth Room

Parents, this will be a time to gain some parenting encouragement and tools to help you navigate life with your children in areas such as technology, social media, relationships and many things your children are facing

Our guest speaker, Mr. Rick Reed, comes to us with outstanding experience in working with children and youth. He is currently employed at Teen Town Inc. in Salina, KS since 2015 and is Director of Future Hopes and Dreams.  He has a passion for kids and desires to help children and youth become all they can be, as well as assist parents and adults as they walk alongside children in their life journey every day!
Our children have much to cope with as technology is changing our world at breakneck speed--we adults struggle too!  It affects how we “do” relationships, communicate, make priorities, handle our emotions, and even understand who we are!
During our hour together, Mr. Reed will focus on the following topics:
1.  Identification of children/youth issues and the realization that most, if not all, kids suffer and are hurt
2.  Encouragement to both the parents and their children that interventions/solutions are possible
3.  What are the solutions?
     - The healthy use of technology
     -  Placing the content in the context of Christianity
     -  Finding a way to utilize the time that is available in an overpacked schedules
Once again, please mark your calendar--you won't want to miss this opportunity.  We will gain encouragement and tools during the evening while your children are in class.  We will meet in the Hearth Room right off the Lobby here at the church from 6:45-7:45. We will dismiss as your children are ready for pick-up.

To learn more about Rick, I have pasted some info below--it's just a small portion of his complete biography.
Please reach out to Bev Vogel @ 620-877-7222 if you have questions!

We look forward to seeing you in the Hearth Room at HMBC January 14, 2026 from 6:45-7:45.
