February Mission Moment
This month our focus is on the ministry of Jim and Becky Elam in South Dallas. Jim and Becky Elam ask for prayer as they work with our church on plans for a group to come to Dallas to help him with some home improvement projects. He especially needs help finishing a wheelchair ramp into their home. Jim would also like to bring a group from Dallas to experience family life as well as the countryside in Hillsboro. Pray for God’s guidance as these plans are being made.
Jeff and Katie Mesias are asking for our prayers. They fly from Thailand to the Phillipians on Feb. 24. Jeff will go for finger prints/photos on February 26th and then will have his visa interview on March 2nd. Could you please join us in praying specifically for this interview? We know that our God is so capable of helping us with this and we trust in Him and have deep faith to believe.
Verenike Baking
On Saturday, March 21, you are invited to join a crew of people at Parkview MB Church to help make many verenike for the upcoming MCC sale. There are two shifts available. If you have further questions or want to sign up please contact Hank Wiebe.
10-2 Summit
On Thursday, March 5, Multiply will be hosting a 10-2 Global Missions Summit at Ridgepoint Church in Wichita, KS from 9 AM - 3 PM. Multiply realizes that we are at a critical juncture in regard to global missions, with a need for new leaders and voices to help us chart a path forward. So, we will gather in Wichita for a time of honest assessment, healthy discussion, and focused prayer, that we may better partner together in missions.
MB Unity Service
On Sunday, March 8, we invite you to participate in the annual MB Unity Service. Join together with our brothers and sisters from Parkview MB and Ebenfeld MB to worship together. At 9:30 AM, MB Foundation will provide donuts and coffee in the Shari Flaming Center for the Arts lobby on the Tabor College campus. Then at 10:30 AM we will convene to the Richert Auditorium to enjoy a time of worship in unity with each other.
Camp Barnabas Fundraiser
Sunday, March 8, the team that will be serving at Camp Barnabas this July, will be hosting a Pancake Fundraiser from 5-7 PM in the HMBC Fellowship Hall. Please come for all you can eat pancakes and help support the work of this team. Gluten free and dairy free pancakes will be available.
New Church Directory Photos
During the month of February, we will have a location in our church library to try to capture family photos of all of our members and regular attenders. We will have slots available on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings if you would like to sign up for a time slot; otherwise, just stop by when we are there to get your picture taken for the new church pictorial directory.
